DEVO founder and film composer Mark Mothersbaugh is doing two events at the Vancouver International Film Festival this week. If you only catch one, make it count. If you can do both, VIFF gives you $5 off the second ticket when you add it at checkout.
Wed Oct 7: Stories Behind the Music (VIFF Talk)
Mothersbaugh sits down with composer and former studio executive Robert Kraft to talk through his whole career: from DEVO and the late-'70s new wave scene to his long run scoring Wes Anderson films (Bottle Rocket, Rushmore, The Royal Tenenbaums, The Life Aquatic), plus big studio work like The LEGO Movie, Thor: Ragnarok and A Minecraft Movie. Expect stories about how a composer finds a film's musical identity, and a Q&A.

Thu Oct 8: An Evening with Mark Mothersbaugh (VIFF Live)
